Forbes recently posted their list of America's Most Disliked Athletes. In my opinion, their list is mostly accurate however I'm puzzled as to how a couple of athletes made the list while other obvious choices were overlooked. Kris Humphries is being painted as the bad guy in his bogus marriage to Kim Kardashian when she's the cow that everybody should hate instead. And while Kurt Busch would have certainly made the list a few years ago, it's his brother Kyle who, in my opinion, replaces him... the arrogant, little baby that he is.
In no particular order, here are some of today's athletes that...

The upsets continued in the second round of the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Los Angeles Kings have now sent the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the West (Canucks and Blues) to the golf course. And who thought the troubled Phoenix franchise would make it to the Conference Finals for the first time ever, Winnipeg included? In the East, the No. 1 New York Rangers play the No. 6 New Jersey Devils.
Here are my picks for the third round of the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
WEST
#3 Phoenix Coyotes vs. #8 Los Angeles Kings – LOS ANGELES in 7
EAST
#1 New York Rangers vs. #6 New Jersey...

Round 1 of the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs proved to be full of upsets and a lot of hockey pools went down the drain, including mine. Looking back at those 8 teams I predicted to move on, only 4 made it: St. Louis, Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey. And the big names one would expect to be there are gone: Vancouver, Boston, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Chicago. A wacky postseason it is!
The Conference Semifinals begin tonight with the Coyotes hosting the Predators. Here are my predictions for all 4 series:
WEST
#2 St. Louis Blues vs. #8 Los Angeles Kings – LOS ANGELES in 7
#3 Phoenix...

The 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Wednesday. In my preseason forecast, I successfully picked 12 out of the 16 teams to make the playoffs.
The Stanley Cup is the most difficult trophy to win in all of professional team sports. To repeat is an even tougher task to accomplish. The defending Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins finished atop the Northwest Division and grabbed the second seed in the Eastern Conference. They will start the playoffs with a win over the Washington Capitals in 5 games. Hopefully this will be the start of another great championship run.
In the Western Conference,...

The NHL is starting to gear up for the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs by releasing a string of video campaigns. I previously posted a "Because It's The Cup" ad featuring Tim Thomas of the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins.
Now they are issuing a "Because The Cup Belongs in Canada" campaign, including this one featuring the Vancouver Canucks.

Here's my issue - Canadian players still make up the majority of the NHL so who cares! Besides, no Canadian team currently deserves the Stanley Cup. That includes the Canucks!

Mark Recchi joined Gresh & Zo on Boston's 98.5 The Sports Hub yesterday (November 17, 2011) to talk about last season's Stanley Cup championship win by the Bruins as well as this year's team. During his interview, Recchi spoke about how much he dislikes the Vancouver Canucks:
In 22 years they are the most arrogant team I played against and the most hated team I’ve ever played against. I couldn’t believe their antics; they’re falling and diving. It was very frustrating, but at the same time as the series wore on we knew we were getting to them and we knew our physical play and our skating,...

Here's Clutch's hit "Electric Worry" from their 2007 album From Beale Street To Oblivion. A great tune from an awesome live band!
http://youtu.be/kx6FV2qR2TY
But just like that, the Vancouver Canucks ruined a great song! Tonight, during their game against the Nashville Predators, Electric Worry was unveiled as the team's 'Goal Song'. Here are my issues:
This song was released over 4 years ago. Did DJ Dave just discover it now?
99.9% of crowd at Rogers Arena have no idea at all who Clutch is.
In all seriousness, it's the only decent song played at Rogers Arena during a Canucks game...

Neil Young hasn't lived in Canada for several years, yet he still retains his Canadian citizenship. You often see him at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, where he is a Sharks season ticket holder, but he is wearing caps related to Canada. Last season, he was spotted several times wearing a Manitoba Moose hat.
So with the return of the NHL to Winnipeg, who is Neil Young supporting this year? The Sharks or the Jets?
Contrary to popular belief, Neil Young was not born in Winnipeg and he lived there for only a short period of time. However, the city is considered the "origin" of Neil Young because...
