In 1959, Pedro Gené, Conservatory musician, decides to go to England where he lived for the emergence of Rock and Roll. After a year spent in that country back to Spain with the idea of forming a rock band.
Search among his former classmates and training comes first: Rafael de la Vega-bass, Enrique Lopez-drums, Enric Fuster and Pedro Gené-piano-vocals and guitar.
Peter, very influenced by Southern Blues, puts the group’s name LONE STAR. You can pronounce without much effort, it is not necessary to say “The” and on the other hand is the Indian name of the doll is the mascot of the early group.
They begin the first concerts.

It reaches the highest selling album of the group: “Come Rock Live”, recorded live in one take in a study of Barcelona. LONE STAR that year gives an amazing concert on the USS JOHN KENNEDY FRITGERALD. Luis Masdeu leaves the group and goes to the battery Tapi. But the most important concert in the band’s career is given in the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona.
The direction of Palau has been reluctant to any rock band or even any music other than classical sounds in the room. LONE STAR breaks the mold and gives a reading anthology with Jazz, Classical and Rock. LONE STAR and meet Eric Burdon 120,000 people on the line of Montjuic in Barcelona. It is a memorable concert organized by the PSUC in “La Festa del Treball”. 1982.
