July 27, 2016: Here’s some new(er) music from Boris, Adolescents, Iggy Pop, Truckfighters and Monolord.

Japanese metal band Boris has reissued their 2006 album, Pink. The Deluxe Edition package includes nine unreleased tracks from the same recording sessions that resulted in the original album. One of the newly released songs is “Are You Ready?”

Want to hear some real punk rock? The Adolescents have been around since 1980 and released one of the most influential Southern California punk rock albums of all time. Today, the band is more productive than ever. Manifest Destiny is their fourth full-length studio album this decade and is out now via Concrete Jungle Records. Here’s the first single “Jacob’s Ladder”.

Repo Man is a cult film released in 1984 and stars Emilio Estevez, among others. The movie features a killer soundtrack, with classic punk rock hits from Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Circle Jerks and Fear. But my favourite is the title track by Iggp Pop. Back in March, Iggy Pop visited KCRW’s Apogee Studio in Santa Monica and played songs from his latest album, Post Pop Depression. However, the session ended with a stunning version of “Repo Man”…

I can’t stop watching this!

Truckfighters, from Örebro, Sweden, released their first live album, Live In London, back in June on Fuzzorama Records. It was recorded at O2 Academy in November of 2014. The set ends with “Desert Cruiser”. I really need to see this band play live!

Riding Easy Records has just premiered the second track from the forthcoming 10″ single by Monolord. The song is titled “Die In Haze”.
