September 17, 2016: Here’s some new(er) music from Fatso Jetson, Brant Bjork, Slow Season, D Generation and Ghost.
Fatso Jetson are credited as the Godfathers of the desert rock scene and influenced bands such as Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. Idle Hands is their eleventh album and it will be released by Heavy Psych Sounds on October 7, 2016. Here is the third track, titled “Royal Family”.
Brant Bjork will release his new album, Tao Of The Devil, on September 30th via Napalm Records. The official video for “Stackt” is below.
California heavy psychedelic rock band Slow Season released their third full-length album, titled Westing, back in July on RidingEasy Records. The sound on the new record is described as “dipped and fried in Led Zeppelin batter and oil, while throwing in a dash of Free inspired sauce for good measure.” Have a listen to “Damascus” and decide for yourself.
D Generation is an American glam punk band that formed in 1991 in New York City. They released three albums and several EPs before splitting in 1999. But the band’s classic lineup recently reunited and the five childhood friends released a new album back in late July. The second single from Nothing Is Anywhere is titled “Militant”.
Sweden’s Ghost have just released a new EP, titled Popestar, which features mostly cover songs. Also included is a brand new single, “Square Hammer”. The release is part of the band’s promotion for their upcoming North American tour.
